My name is Jason Forman and I am an adult educator. I have had an interesting professional journey thus far as a software consultant and also as a photographer. I decided that for the next phase of my life, I wanted to focus on helping people, and after much reflection, I felt that becoming an educator was a good fit for my personal and professional goals.

While I have mostly been a consultant throughout my career, I also had the opportunity to work in a Learning & Development role. I really enjoyed it and it was a successful stint, but I felt like I was missing the theoretical and best practice context. I thought that understanding the underlying theories would be very interesting. Then in turn, I could apply those theories to become a better practitioner.

The more I thought about it, the more it was something I wanted to pursue, which is why I enrolled in the Adult Education and Training master’s program at Colorado State University.
